Your twisting facts. The reason Republican states are growing more is that their income is much lower to begin with. I could just as easily phrase it as: Want a higher income? Don’t live in a Republican state!
Considering the population disparity between, say Mississippi (generally poor with few exceptions) and Texas (general mid to high income depending on location) that’s an overly general response (as, I’d point out, is mine.)

Income in several of the states is lower, but not all. The twist, it seems, is a dance we all know.
On average it is. The southern states are the poorest, whereas the North Eastern ones are the richest
