The Washington Post found 73 members of Congress have been benefitting financially from legislation they were involved with. Of course these activities are perfectly legal for these legislators (but often not for you), and perfectly ethical (by their standards), and of course, it their constituents’ interests just happen to coincide with their own…well, that’s just luck, isn’t it?
Simply put, as with the aristocrats of old, your elected officials have carved out a different set of standards for themselves, ones that allow them to prosper unfairly.
