What a difference a night makes… The would-be terrorist in question is Faisal Shahzad, a naturalized American citizen who was trying to hop a flight to Dubai when he was apprehended. Another three men were pulled off the plane with him, but I haven’t fond more on that yet. Dubai’s been popping up recently with these attacks: the Blunderwear bomber was a “student” in Dubai, as was Shahzad.
Shahzad was a Pakistani, and if the videos claiming credit for the attack (which characterized it as a success) by Qari Hussain of the Pakistani-franchise of the Taliban are to be believed, it was a response to American Predator strikes in Waziristan.
