His experience with his doctorate process has left him disenchanted with the strictures and dogma of higher education and believes that more concentration on specialization or on vocational training, rather than pointless liberal arts education is in order for the 21st Century.

He is the author of several role playing game books, currently has two of three novels available on just about every ereader format and soon print on demand, and a non-fiction work on Italian Colonialism in Somalia (currently available on Kindle.) He is a former police auxiliary, former intelligence analyst for the United States Army and other government contractors, and is avid motorcyclist and marksman.

Rhymer lives with his wife, their daughter, and cat in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
