Cut out the dreamy crap about spirals and life at the end and you have a pretty cool video of how the planets actually move around the sun. Now the “old model” they’re describing works just fine when you are looking at just the solar system, but the addition of the movement of the sun does give am interesting perspective…

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for as many folks in the space exploration game as possible and I’d really like to see more private space ventures, not just the very successful SpaceX…but if you’ve got a subcontinent full of some of the poorest folks in the world, with an economy that could be the brightest in the world if it weren’t for the babucracy (kleptomaniac bureaucrats), what the hell are you doing launching a mission to Mars?
More importantly, if you’ve got the ready cash to blow on $73 million orbiter, why is the United States ponying up $98.3 million in foreign aid to India this year?
